Former President Donald TRUMP and Elon Musk have publicly reconciled after a brief feud over tax policy. During a bill signing ceremony opposing California''s electric vehicle mandates, Trump referred to Musk as a "friend" and expressed approval of Tesla—despite the regulatory setback for the automaker.

The détente follows Musk''s public apology on X for previous critical remarks about Trump. Their dispute had escalated to threats against Musk''s government contracts before cooling off. Tesla shares remain volatile, down today but up 35% over three months.
